About My Clients

I enjoy facilitating reconnection from a place of playfulness and open curiosity. The types of clients I typically work with are those struggling with identity, family wounds, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, LGBTQA+ issues, relational struggles, and those who do not feel they fit into a prescribed box.

My Background and Approach

I aim to create a safe space together with my clients to promote healing, and to strengthen their relationship to themselves and others by cultivating compassion, tenderness and greater self awareness. It is my hope that through our work together, you will feel more confident and connected with your authentic self, and empowered to live congruently in community, while operating from a place of personal alignment. I approach my work from an Existential Humanistic framework (we are all humans trying to learn how to human together), and utilize tools and techniques taken from play therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Experiential practices, as well as a healthy dose of my own humor. Together we will explore what it would be like if we had the courage to live life outside the box prescribed to us, and ask ourselves what would it look like if we constructed our own box, or chose to remain outside the confines of one altogether.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

It is my belief that healing happens in relationship, specifically when you experience being witnessed, heard, and seen by others. It is also my belief that we are the architects of our own reality, and that by being able to cultivate a true relationship with our authentic selves, we can create the life we envision for ourselves. Prior to pursuing my graduate studies, I spent eight years working abroad with children, adolescents, and adults from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds in both educational and camp-like settings. In those spaces I developed a passion for exploring communication and care within cross-cultural relationships, as well as a curiosity around alternative ways of being and self expression.
