My Background and Approach
I believe that therapy is a unique space where we can get curious about your patterns, explore your personal history and relationships, and discuss what is most pressing for you so that you can live a life filled with purpose, joy, contentment...and whatever is most important to you! I don't subscribe to a cookie cutter approach to therapy, so in addition to psychodynamic therapy, I integrate aspects of various theories and therapies at times such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into our work together. I check in with my clients regularly to find out how therapy is going, and I invite my clients to let me know what is working and what isn't so that we can adjust as needed.
