My Background and Approach

As a Black female therapist, I have navigated similar challenges and done my own healing work. Therefore, I deeply empathize with the pain of feeling stuck. I have a wealth of clinical experience, including working with adolescent and adult populations in community mental health, the juvenile justice system, adult probation, residential treatment, a psychiatric hospital, non-profit, and private practice. The depth of my experience has helped shape me into a competent and well-rounded professional. This isn't just a career for me; it's a calling. My approach to treatment is collaborative, holistic, integrative, and solution-focused. As your counselor, I value authenticity. I keep it real while co-creating a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space. Your healing, personal growth, and wellness are top priorities to help you achieve your desired outcome. You've finally found someone who is trustworthy, relatable, and compassionate. I see you, and I'm here for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am an advocate for continuing the movement of destigmatizing mental healthcare within Black communities. I am also a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community. I firmly believe that by helping Black women thrive, we contribute to the resilience and strength of Black families as a whole. In response to the interconnected nature of personal and familial dynamics, my practice includes couples counseling. My goal is to facilitate open communication, understanding, and mutual growth within relationships, fostering a foundation for healing that extends to both individuals and the broader family unit. Join me on a transformative journey toward a more fulfilling and connected life, where healing for Black women ripples positively through the fabric of Black families.
