About My Clients
Our work together will help you to express, explore, and work through deeply held feelings, and gain clarity and insight into your life. Apart from tremendous actual lived experience, I have extensive professional experience working with adult individuals, children, families, couples and groups to address issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, loss, stress, lack of work-life balance, life purpose confusion, and other areas of concern.
My Background and Approach
I have formal training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Parts Work, Brainspotting (Phases 1-4), EMDR, Somatic, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, and I am Certified in Hypnotherapy. Additionally I am trained in ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition) assessment for the autism screening of toddlers through adulthood. I also have formal training in Child-Centered Play Therapy and Sand Tray, and I incorporate mindfulness, creative visualization, and expressive arts into my therapeutic work which will help you to develop a deeper understanding of your internal world as well as new ways to show up in the world around you. You will be able to explore all of your possibilities in a non-judgmental and caring space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I support causes connected with the LGBTQ community, the Autistic community, child welfare, social justice, BIPOC issues, domestic violence intervention, sexual abuse/exploitation survivors, nature preservation, animal rights, and many others in defense of any entity who is disenfranchised, disadvantaged, or oppressed. I believe in fair treatment, equality, and liberation.
