My Background and Approach
I believe in the power of therapy to clear a space for deeper self-curiosity and compassionate understanding. I approach my role as therapist with empathy, acceptance, and active listening in the interest of supporting you as we map your internal landscapes together, discover old patterns, and explore core dynamics. My work centers around helping you to better move through the world as your most genuine and authentic self. I provide the safety and emotional support needed for clients of all different orientations and cultural backgrounds to express feelings, experience acceptance, and feel truly heard and seen. My approach is relational, humanistic, and draws deeply on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic practices. My style is gentle, collaborative, and client-led.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I bring a high level of cultural humility, empathy, and social justice to my work. I maintain a radically empathetic and relational demeanor. I believe in the inherent dignity and worth of people and I am an affirming and inclusive therapist. I enjoy thinking about the mind-body connection and helping the people I work with find ways to stay open to the present moment through grounding and breathwork. I also really value creativity and I am a lover of art, poetry, writing, reading, and nature. I like to think that this creative perspective shows up in my therapeutic work as well.
