About My Clients
I provide individual psychotherapy to teens, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working with clients facing challenges relating to: anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, identity, family-of-origin trauma. I offer an affirming and accepting space for all queer, trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive identities within the LGBTQ+ community.
My Background and Approach
My approach is relational and psychodynamic, meaning I am interested in understanding how your past experiences may shape or influence your present way of being in the world. My style is gentle, organic, empathetic, and collaborative. I help patients create space to explore feelings and identify emotional and relational themes and patterns. These patterns may be causing stress in everyday life or more generally contribute to feelings of stuck-ness. Together, we'll work to understand the origins and triggers of these patterns with the hope of releasing their hold and opening more room for growth and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Empathy and non-judgement are central to my work, as well as building a positive connection grounded in trust. I enjoy thinking about the mind-body connection. I also really value creativity and I am a lover of art, poetry, writing, reading, and nature. I like to think that this creative perspective shows up in my therapeutic work as well.
