About My Clients
It appears like you’ve got it altogether, but inside you’re battling that inner critic’s voice whispering “still not good enough". The invisible weight of inadequacy, shame & guilt are disguised in your successes, perfectionism & constant striving. You find yourself anxious, chronically overwhelmed, yet numb & over functioning in your relationships as you endlessly try to manage everyone's needs. Maybe it feels like somewhere along the way you've lost yourself. I'm here to help you find her.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Board & Nationally Certified Counselor who specializes in women's counseling & maternal mental health. I hold master's degrees in elementary education & clinical mental health counseling, w/ additional training in perinatal mood disorders and early childhood trauma. In therapy we'll come to understand your inner critic, so you can live free of the guilt & striving to be and do more. We'll identify attachment patterns that sneak into your adult relationships unconsciously, allowing you to live from a more present state and not on autopilot driven by outdated coping mechanisms. I'll provide tools & insight to help regulate your nervous system to create the safety you need. My training in attachment, relational psychotherapy & perinatal mental health, along w/ 10+ years of work elevating women's' voices helps craft my expertise in helping women build a strong sense of self worth & confidence in using their voice to create fulfilling & satisfying lives & relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the work we do in the therapy room is a collective way to advocate for the needs of women as a whole. Cultivating safety, increasing self worth, and building confidence inside each woman, ultimately empowers her to use her voice and execute the change she needs and wants. Collectively, these voices are loud and the execution is power. Giving women the experience of their voice being heard and validated is my life’s work. My hope is that work will translate to a world where women know the value & power in their voice and not be afraid to use it - that is the change I wish to see in the world.
