About My Clients
My clients have relational wounds that need deep care. They live with emotional pain and are tired of the lasting symptoms of trauma that impact their life. Many clients who grew up religious & have left (or are leaving) their faith are particularly drawn to me and my work. I also work with individuals who have identified their queerness later in life, and are unsure of what it means for their identity now.
My Approach to Helping
I work collaboratively with clients through a trauma-informed, relational, and affirming approach. I am trained in EMDR therapy, and utilize it when appropriate to aid in your healing. I work with you to identify your goals for therapy, and create a space where you can learn to re-embrace what makes you authentically YOU. We'll make sure you have coping skills to manage your day to day symptoms, and dive deep to figure out where it all started in the first place. I pull from psychodynamic, relational, and narrative approaches to help you understand unconscious patterns, and craft a new story to live with.
My Values as a Therapist
My values are: Authenticity, Inclusivity, Curiosity, Collaboration, Dignity, & Vulnerability. I work to live with these values in and out of the therapy room. Alongside my California License as a Marriage & Family Therapist, I am committed to dedicating myself to ongoing trainings that align with my anti-oppressive, LGBTQIA2S affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, & anti-racist values
