A Highly Sensitive Therapist for Highly Sensitive People. A holistic approach (because sensitive people deserve sensitive therapy).

The Highly Sensitive genetic trait is found in 15-20% of the total population, in over 200 species. Certain brain centers are highly active in HSPs. This helps them sense subtleties in their environment, but it can also lead to overstimulation & overwhelming emotions. As an HSP specialist, I've found that trauma-informed somatic therapy works wonders for overstimulated nervous systems. In addition, reiki helps HSPs maximize their capacity to sense subtleties, & use it to their advantage.
Attachment Theory states that your relationships with your primary caregiver(s) as an infant & adolescent laid the groundwork for your primary relationships as an adult. Most attachment (relationship) issues ultimately boil down to 2 questions: "Is it safe to be me?" and/or "Do you love me, just as I am?" These are tender places. I'm here to provide a safe & loving place for you to explore these questions, as well as their impact on your relationships.
Put your hand on your solar plexus, close your eyes, breathe, & say to yourself, "I am deeply beloved." Slowly say this 3-5 times. Now, what percentage of that statement were you able to receive? If this exercise brings up challenging sensations, emotions, thoughts, & beliefs for you, know you're not alone. Many clients feel this way. There is nothing wrong with you. You are not broken. You are deeply, unconditionally beloved, and I'm here to help you remember that truth.
Somatic Therapy is talk therapy enhanced through breath work, body awareness, movement, & touch. This orientation was established in the 1930s, is evidence-based, neuroscience-approved, & trauma-informed. I have a master's degree in somatic counseling from Naropa University, & I am a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT) through the International Somatic Movement Education & Therapy Association (ISMETA).
Energy psychology (EP) comprises a family of methods designed to improve your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. EP methods focus on a client’s thoughts, feelings and emotions at the same time as the client activates some aspect of the bio-energy system of the body such as meridians or chakras. I have over 2 years & 300 hours of supervised training in trauma-informed energy healing, more than many reiki masters these days.
