Hi! My name is Brittany Woodley and I am a psychotherapist ready to partner with you through HIPAA secure online therapy!
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Dallas, TX
I have experience providing DBT and the main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, cope healthily with stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships with others.
I have experience providing CBT therapy and I implement a hands-on, goal oriented practical approach to problem-solving. The goal is to change negative patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people’s difficulties and eventually change the way they feel.
I have experience providing ACT therapy and follow the 6 core principles, which include; cognitive defusion; acceptance; contact with the present moment; observing self; exploring values and committing to action.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to encourage clients to challenge their negative thoughts and develop a more positive appraisal of their actions. In addition, I will also help clients develop positive coping mechanisms and ultimately help reduce both sources of stress and anxiety.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to provide opportunities to identify current life situations that may be causing or contributing to depression. We will partner with each other to identify current patterns of thinking or distorted perceptions that lead to depression and develop more balanced and constructive ways to respond to stressors. Ideally these new responses will help minimize or eliminate the symptoms.
I use Acceptance and Commitment therapy to combat stress, a type of cognitive behavioral therapeutic intervention that combines the use of acceptance of stressors in one's life and mindfulness strategies mixed in different ways with commitment and behavior-change strategies. My main goal is to help the client accept their present circumstances, become more comfortable with them, and help them become empowered to move forward with as minimal stress as possible.
