About My Clients
In sessions I will meet you where you are with humor and warmth. You will be seen, heard, and valued for your whole self as we collaborate to help you live a more liberated and authentically expressed life, returning you to the truth of who you really are. Currently, I work with individual adults, couples, partners, and adolescents (12+). Let's see how we can collaborate to help you walk forward on the path that's waiting for you.
My Background and Approach
I care deeply about supporting clients on their evolving journey towards healing and wholeness, and my approach to therapy is non-pathologizing and client-centered — I will always respect your autonomy and honor your unique strengths and life experiences as essential to your unfolding. I am an integrative psychotherapist which means I use a variety of approaches depending on your preferences and needs. Therapeutically I blend humanistic-existential, mindfulness, depth, transpersonal, narrative, and parts work therapy through a developmental and systemic trauma lens. I also incorporate mindfulness and somatic-based distress management skills to support healing and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Coming from a social justice and liberation psychology framework, I prioritize creating a supportive environment for clients from diverse and historically marginalized communities. From my experience of growing up in a first-gen Asian American immigrant family, I recognize that our lives can often be impacted by familial and cultural pressures, systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and childhood wounding. I hold compassionate space to unpack and explore these aspects of experience through a holistic, trauma-informed lens. As a Queer affirming and sex positive therapist, I also welcome clients who are seeking a supportive space to embrace all of their identities and ways of being, as well as those exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness. I also enjoy working with men to shed limiting beliefs around masculinity, supporting you to reclaim and redefine what your gender identity means to you.
