About My Clients
Have you said to yourself “this year has got to be better?” Since making this decision to change things, have you had the same fight with your spouse, your mother, your sister? Are you having trouble feeling understood, loving yourself, feeling cared about, setting appropriate boundaries, struggling with anxious or depression and being seen for who you want to be or all the hard work you have already done? Do you feel like every time you try to change, you revert to the “old you”?
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years as either a behavioral/personal life coach or mental health counselor. What makes me successful, is that I have a large toolbox (no cookie cutter breathing techniques), I am creative in how I conceptualize a problem and how I help you to re-interpret your situation, and I am a collaborative partner. My style is direct, honest, and compassionate. I believe profoundly in a ‘treat and move your feet’ style of therapy. With me, you gain a partner to help you to change your mind and in turn to change your thoughts, actions and ultimately your experience. My approach is particularly useful to couples looking to reconnect, individual working through trauma, anxiety and depression in relationships or not.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I like to think of myself as a change master (some may call me the change monster :-), whichever works. I believe that change is a constant in life and that we all have the capacity to make meaningful change in our lives. I want to help you to go deeper with yourself/your partner. To explore and realize self-acceptance. I can help you to do this work, with a partner or without a partner. I practice multicultural therapy, value and welcome diversity.
