About My Clients
Often times life demands a huge amount of our energy and mental capacity. In order to keep up we tend to neglect ourselves or our relationships. When this happens we can begin to feel unbalanced. Together we can explore ways to help you achieve a more balanced life. We will identify your strengths, find ways to help you challenge negative thinking, and identify tools to help you cope with anxiety. We will also help you heal from past wounds and learn to let go of what's holding you back.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience working with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, sensory processing sensitivity (highly sensitive persons), codependency, and more. Additionally, I am specialized in working with adoptees, adoptive parents, birthparents, and families brought together through kinship care. As a highly sensitive therapist, I enjoy helping other highly sensitive people learn more about their trait and make it work for them. I operate from a place that everything has a "balanced" point. Our job is to help you find balance in your life to thrive at your most optimal level of functioning. I pull techniques from mindfulness based cognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and self compassion based therapies.
