Do you ever feel stuck in a body that doesn't feel, act or look the way you want it to? Does it feel like your brain and body are out of sync? I specialize in treating individuals who struggle with issues around mind-body incongruence, specifically chronic pain, sexual difficulties and gender incongruence/dysphoria. I also support individuals that struggle with challenges that can often co-occur with these difficulties, including developmental trauma, attachment issues and faith transitions.
My Background and Approach
My approach to treatment is warm, collaborative and client focused. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy incorporate evidence-based interventions that are tailored to each clients needs. I have over a decade of experience treating chronic pain patients from a holistic lens, including utilizing Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness and self-compassion interventions. I have specialized training in gender-affirming therapy and follow WPATH guidelines for providing letters of support for gender affirming treatments. I also provide sex therapy that is kink-aligned, sex-positive and ENM-informed, and utilize attachment theory and somatic therapies to help individuals and couples better align with their authentic sexual self and values. When needed, I also incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance/Commitment Therapy (ACT) with difficult thought and emotional patterns.
