About My Clients
Endless deadlines, isolating social events, a relentless inner critic. Food becomes a source of stress, not nourishment. The past continues to intrude. Life transitions becoming disorienting and a source of anxiety. Or perhaps your relationships feel dissatisfying, you feel disengaged. You deserve a different reality. These symptoms don't have to exist. I empower you to navigate these challenges and create lasting change. Clients report significant positive shifts through our collaborative work.
My Background and Approach
As an LMSW/LCSW with 20+ years of experience, I empower clients to navigate the intricate landscape of anxiety, trauma, and disordered eating. Recognizing the unique impact of each experience, we'll collaboratively explore the root causes and develop personalized strategies for healing. Utilizing evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, we'll address a range of challenges, from debilitating panic attacks and intrusive thoughts to emotional dysregulation, body image distortions, and maladaptive eating behaviors. Through insight-oriented and skill-based therapy, you'll cultivate self-compassion, build resilience, and achieve lasting well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a lifelong learner, both in the field of therapy (as an LMSW/LCSW) and in life. Just like tending my garden or exploring a new trail with my wonderfully strange-looking brown dog, I believe in the power of growth and connection. I bring this same passion to my work, continually seeking the latest research and evidence-based interventions to empower clients facing anxiety, trauma, and disordered eating. My approach blends insight-oriented therapy with practical skill-building (cognitive work, emotion regulation, mindfulness), creating a collaborative space for meaningful and authentic change. Whether you're navigating a life transition or seeking relief from persistent struggles, I'm committed to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and well-being. And just like a good live music show with friends, therapy can be a powerful experience of shared humanity and support.
