Therapy is a collaborative relationship in which I cultivate an open and non-judgmental atmosphere to equip you in facilitating change, fostering vulnerability, and promoting a rich and meaningful life. Whether you want to work towards specific life goals, change, or stressors including complex trauma, anxiety, cultural issues and depression, I strive to guide you through the process. My goal is to help you become the best version of you through managing your emotions and values-based living.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional who practices a holistic, strengths-based, and eclectic approach. I utilize different treatment modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) while individualizing interventions based on identity and cultural backgrounds. I am currently licensed and accepting clients in PA and NJ.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a clinician of color, I understand the complexities of navigating life within the world we live in. I am passionate about supporting BIPOC individuals, including those who identify with the South Asian community, through their journey of healing. Realigning with your values can be confusing, especially as children of immigrants. We are taught specific values that we may or may not align with. We often feel like it’s all or nothing. I hope to help you align with a true and meaningful life. One where you can live non-judgmentally and break intergenerational cycles including "what will people say."
