About My Clients

I can help you get off that annoying wire hamster wheel you've been running around in, watching the wheels spin faster and yet going nowhere, staying stuck. When we get caught up looking for answers and solutions, we feel hopeless. It's easy to forget that we humans are strong, brave, and resilient beings, capable of growth and change. In treatment, I will join you in facing the challenge of letting go of the search for answers or a quick fix, in favor of finding freedom and fulfillment in life.

My Background and Approach

I am warm and authentic, and I treat you as the expert on yourself. I celebrate all aspects of diversity, and will meet you with curiosity and compassion. My style is integrative. I'm intentional in choosing the best approach for your unique needs. My philosophy is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. My biggest priority is that you find our time together valuable in some way, whether it's gaining new insights or practical tools to use in everyday life, working through difficult experiences, or getting connected to your deeper purpose in life. I treat people of diverse backgrounds and identities who are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, eating disorders, and body image. I'm not one to sugarcoat, nor will I minimize your challenges. I hope to help you tune into yourself, and live a rewarding and meaningful life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My own experience in therapy awakened me to my calling. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology so that I could pay it forward. I am a 3rd generation Holocaust survivor, so I grew up highly attuned to human suffering and aware that we cannot simply ignore the things that make us uncomfortable. I have always known that being alive is a fleeting opportunity, and while I am here I hope to spend this life helping people find inner peace. I'm on a mission to make healthcare welcoming, respectful, and compassionate for ALL bodies. I advocate for size inclusivity and promote the adoption of the Health at Every Size framework in health, fitness, and wellness spaces. Through both my training as a psychologist well-versed in mindfulness practices, and my specialized training as a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I can help you develop a peaceful relationship with food, reject harmful diet culture messaging, and feel at-home in your body.
