About My Clients

My clients are motivated and curious, and recognize that outside support can make a big difference when life is just too much to handle alone. I approach therapy as a collaborative and creative effort, with mindfulness and body awareness contributing to our ongoing conversation. I offer support for anxiety, depression, life stage transitions, overwhelming stress, resolution of trauma, and chronic pain/illness. I also specialize in helping women who have been diagnosed with Endometriosis.

How I Can Help You

I'm a licensed Mental Health Counselor and Creative Arts Therapist, with advanced training in Yoga, Meditation, and Authentic Movement. I integrate these approaches to offer a gentle, creative, and compassionate approach to talk therapy. In session, I'll help you learn how to listen to bodily sensations and connect with your creative unconscious, and my goal is to help you develop awareness in order to understand the physical signals that are connected to your thoughts and feelings. I believe in the basic goodness and capacity for wellness which resides in each person, and in our work together I will continually encourage you to recognize your strengths and resiliency. As your therapist, I will guide you toward feeling confident in your capacity to face the challenges of your life, and will support you in developing coping skills while learning to trust your inherent wisdom.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Sometimes, I think it helps to look at things in a simple way: Life can be hard. Reducing suffering is a good thing. Asking for help is quite wise... In our work together, I want to help you move beyond the stress, immediacy, and shortcomings of our day-to-day world, and to instead learn to listen to the quiet voice inside that holds your answers. I strongly believe that participating in therapy can be a transformative experience. I feel happy when I witness a client begin to take ownership and feel better; there's something deeply meaningful in seeing how a safe, structured, and trustworthy relationship can be the catalyst for healing and growth. Being a therapist is a really special job and I feel privileged to do this work.
