About My Clients
I work with individuals whose past experiences keep them stuck in unhelpful patterns—affecting their self-talk, relationships, and outlook. I support those navigating life transitions, changing values, relationship difficulties, and the everyday complexity and stress of being human. Whether clients feel overwhelmed by racing thoughts or disconnected and numb, we work together to untangle these patterns and create a life aligned with what truly matters.
My Background and Approach
With a decade of clinical experience, I work with people navigating trauma, anxiety, stress, identity, relationships, and major life transitions. My training at Stanford, VA Medical System, and as former Director of the Trauma, Transformation, and Resilience program at the Center for CFT have shaped my approach—balancing depth and scientific expertise with flexibility, warmth, and curiosity. Above all else, I prioritize warmth and connection in our work together. While I integrate evidence-based approaches—including ACT, CFT, third-wave CBT, and EMDR for trauma processing—I believe (and research confirms) that the therapeutic relationship is the most impactful element of successful therapy. I bring creativity to exploring what resonates most with each client, developing a personalized roadmap tailored to your needs. Together, we'll transform patterns, creating lasting change in a supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to move forward with clarity and purpose.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was drawn to therapy through my deep curiosity about people, stories, and the complexity of being human. I bring both professional training and personal experience to our work—having spent years as a therapy client myself, I understand the experience from both sides of the room. I believe healing happens in multiple ways: sometimes by exploring our inner depths, other times by connecting to passions and curiosities outside ourselves. People are too complex for one-size-fits-all approaches or rigid adherence to what science tells us is evidence-based. I use science to inform and arts/humanities to curate. I value authenticity over being a blank slate, bringing warmth, curiosity, and genuine connection to our sessions. I'm a staunch proponent of kindness, compassion, and finding (or creating) moments of lightness amidst life's challenges. I believe life is too short to read bad books, that houseplants deserve names, and that every dog I pass by deserves a smile and a pet.
