My Background and Approach
For the past 6 years I have worked with a wide range of individuals, relationships, and even families and children, on their journey to mental health and wellness. - I now hold a Master's Degree in Couple & Family Therapy, with a specialization in Sex Therapy, from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (OR License #: T1392) and I am on the board and executive council of the Oregon Counseling Association (ORCA) as President-Elect. - I utilize a variety of models and evidence-based practices with my clients including, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and intersystems therapy. I often work with couples, relationship groups and individuals on communication issues, a lost sense of connection, and sexual dysfunction in the context of their relationships. My passions are premarital counseling, addressing sexual desire discrepancies in couples, sexless marriages and open relationship contracting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it is my duty to take a strong stance on social justice, mental health reform and sex education for children and adults alike. This is why I am a professional member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and why I am passionate about serving on the Oregon Counseling Association's (ORCA) Board.
