About My Clients

In my practice, I specialize in providing empathetic support to individuals who are finding their alcohol use impacting their lives in a negative way. I am well-versed in an evidence-based method called The Sinclair Method, utilizing the medication Naltrexone to address alcohol use disorder. My expertise extends to helping clients navigate the intricate relationship between alcohol use and mental health issues, including anxiety and depression.

My Background and Approach

Earning my Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver, I bring a comprehensive foundation to my practice. As a Clinical Social Work Candidate and Addiction Counselor Candidate in Colorado, I am dedicated to providing exceptional care. My diverse skill set encompasses various evidence-based modalities, ensuring a tailored approach to address your unique needs. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I empower clients to identify and modify negative thought patterns, fostering positive behavioral changes. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) equips individuals with essential skills to manage emotions, enhance interpersonal relationships, and navigate life's challenges effectively. My commitment is not just to apply therapeutic techniques but to create a therapeutic alliance that promotes healing and growth. Whether addressing alcohol use disorder or navigating the complexities of mental health, my goal is to empower you on a journey toward lasting positive outcomes.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Having personally been impacted by alcohol use and addiction, I returned to graduate school with a deep committment to supporting others who also experienced or are experiencing the negative effects of addiction in their lives, whether it's yourself or a loved one. I believe in the inherent strength within individuals and their capacity for growth. My journey back to grad school was fueled by a passion to become an addiction counselor. This shared empathy allows me to guide clients with authenticity and insight, creating a therapeutic space where they feel heard and supported. Advocating for mental health and addiction awareness is central to my values. I align with causes and social platforms that promote destigmatization, accessibility, and inclusivity in mental health care. By sharing my beliefs and experiences, I aim to inspire hope and empower individuals to embark on their own journeys of recovery and growth.
