About My Clients

While life can be a journey of beauty, joy, and wonder, it can also plunge us into the depths of fear, darkness, and loneliness. We can be trapped in an endless chorus of worry, weighed down by expectations from ourselves and others, full of doubt and struggling to see our own worth or a way forward, and sometimes even our own bodies feel like they are abandoning us. Allow me to be a guide for whatever path you are on. You do not have to do it alone.

My Background and Approach

I find the mind-body connection fascinating and am continuously exploring its capacity to adapt and to heal. I believe that our bodies and our minds are not the enemy, and also acknowledge that sometimes it will not feel that way. Regardless of where our struggles stem from, whether it be internal or external factors, our healing comes from within. I guide clients in cultivating coping tools, self compassion, insight, confidence, and ultimately becoming one’s own friend. With gentleness, collaboration, and evidence based treatments, we can work together to get you back in alignment with your values and become the best version of yourself. We may not be able to rid ourselves of all that ails us, but we can change our relationship with whatever it embodies, and we can learn how to make room for these experiences as we continue to live a life we value. My specialty areas include helping adults with anxiety, self worth, chronic pain, adjustment to medical conditions, insomnia, and trauma.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have always gravitated toward understanding and supporting the people around me, no matter who they are. I knew I wanted to be a psychologist from an early age and have pursued this interest ever since. Through my training and attainment of my Doctorate Degree in Clinical Health Psychology from Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, as well as my training sites, including community mental health clinics, Bath VAMC, NY Presbyterian, and Kaiser Permanente, I have acquired invaluable insights and tools of how to provide support and healing to the people in my care. I meet people where they are at, without pressure or judgement, with gentleness, and an openness to explore whatever comes up. Everyone's struggle is unique, and not something to be compared to others in regards to worthiness of being supported. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. I will do everything I can to help someone feel supported, gain confidence, and become the best version of themself.
