Did you know that your thoughts can influence how you feel and behave? That means, that if we change the thought, we can change the way our emotions and behaviors follow. In sessions, CBT is helpful to learn to disarm or reframe thoughts, find evidence, understand cognitive distortions, explore triggers, identify core beliefs, regulate emotions, and more.

Some classic symptoms of depression are low mood, lack of focus and motivation, isolation, eating and sleeping disturbances, thoughts of self harm/suicide and an inability to enjoy things once perceived as pleasurable. Actively participating in sessions 1-2 times weekly, you can expect accountability and structure. You can learn tools to help you to regain power in your life and make you feel whole again.

The ups and downs of bipolar disorder can leave you feeling fragmented and disoriented. Although you may spend much of the time feeling low, an episode of mania or hypomania can present without much warning. In our sessions, you can learn yourself and your patterns/triggers. We will explore ways for you to identify your mood and learn how to navigate them in a healthy way.

Sometimes our problems can seem bigger the more we think about them. The key is knowing how to break down a problem and flush out any and all possible solutions and outcomes. Maybe you have a certain set of issues that may be difficult to sort out on your own. Through sessions, one can learn how to compartmentalize, boundary and think critically.

EMDR therapy can be used to help heal the brain from traumas and deeply seeded negative core beliefs about self that might be "stuck". Mimicking the process of REM sleep, clients use Bilateral Stimulation for this kind of treatment therapy.
