About My Clients
My practice focuses on treating PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and parent/child interaction problems. I work with adults who might be suffering from a long history of putting the needs and desires of others before their own. As a result of our work together, my clients gain improvements in their self esteem and benefit from an increase in the depth of their interpersonal connections. The health of the relationship you have with yourself and others is the foundation for a happy life.
My Background and Approach
I’ve worked in community mental health for 8 years and in private practice for 2. I take a very person centered approach, offering a space for you to navigate your internal conflicts without coaching or advising you. Instead, I serve as a guide, deeply listening and guiding you. I am certified in DBT Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I also have extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in living a life of altruism and that the world would be a better place if we deeply listened to each other. I believe all mental health or mental illness starts in our relationships and connections to each other. I am involved in a local Suicide Prevention Coalition as I have been impacted directly by suicide via the loss of my grandmother. Love is love. I believe financial class separates us more often than racial class, but white privilege is also real.
