You struggle with constant anxiety and worrying, feeling you have done something wrong and someone is mad at you. Relationships are challenging and you prefer to be alone rather than take a risk and get hurt by people. Frequent feelings of guilt and shame make you overwork, leaving you still feel inadequate. You often feel exhausted and emotionally drained, making it difficult to find joy in life. You want to understand what is wrong with you and how to find happiness.
My Background and Approach
As a trauma-focused therapist, I am interested in learning about your past experiences that have impacted you in certain ways. We often develop coping skills to survive our difficult environments, but these skills may no longer serve you in your pursuit for happiness and a meaningful life. My job is to help you understand this process and guide you through unlearning old skills and acquiring better ones that suit your current needs. One of my specialty areas is trauma from growing with narcissistic parents. Anxiety, depression, self-doubt, shame, imposter syndrome, and difficulties in relationships are a few examples of struggles that can be caused by growing up with narcissistic parents. I frequently use EMDR techniques and mindfulness-based approaches, as well as a body-mind integrative approach in my practice. As an immigrant myself, I value diversity and often work with immigrants seeking to discover their identity and heal from trauma related to immigration and racism.

I am well-versed in the issues that immigrants and adult children of immigrants bring to therapy, thanks to similar lived experiences, as well as the fact that the majority of my clients belong to this population.
