I have been in the mental health field for 10 years and 7 years providing therapy services. I am an LMFT and a doctoral student at Alliant International University. I completed my training and clinical experience in a variety of settings including children’s outpatient psychiatry clinics, intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment centers for adults with substance use disorders, and private practice settings with a focus on comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adults and teens. I have additional training in evidenced-based approaches such as DBT and play therapy. I also have formal training with Body-Focused-Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), such as hair-pulling and skin-picking. I pride myself in helping clients learn to balance change and acceptance in their everyday lives. I help clients build mindfulness skills, learn how to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, communicate effectively, and ultimately live the life they want for themselves.
