About My Clients
When every day feels like an uphill battle, it's hard to want to try new things, let alone get out of bed in the morning. Many of us have experienced life’s ups and downs, and some of those downs are often troubling, distressing, or traumatic. You’ve probably felt like the light at the end of the tunnel doesn’t exist at times (or maybe all the time). I’m here to tell you that it does exist, even though it seems so far away. With a holistic approach, we can release those heavy burdens you carry.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with men and women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I approach therapy as a way of healing trauma and adversity through evidence-based practices. Through my professional and internship experiences in group private practices, legal settings, higher education, child welfare, and corrections, I’ve encountered people from all walks of life - college students struggling with life transitions; individuals struggling with substance use, addiction, histories of domestic violence and trauma; children who are trying to make sense of the world; and individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system. No two people are the same, so our work together will be uniquely collaborative with your goals toward healing and how we find that light at the end of the tunnel.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive to create a safe, queer-friendly, and non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable, seen, heard, and respected. I believe that each of us can healthily process emotions to help heal our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls.
