My style is conversational and relational. I work with my clients to collaboratively understand complex personal histories, and assist in the working through of past events and relationships in an effort to forge towards new futures and ways of understanding ourselves. I work from a model that considers the past as crucial to understanding our current functioning, and provide a supportive, empathetic and introspective space to address where my clients are, and what new options lay ahead.
In addition to my private practice work, I am the director of a community mental health clinic on Skid Row, providing mental health services to downtown LA’s homeless community. Prior to working in the social work/therapy field, I spent a good decade working in the visual arts.
