About My Clients
I generally work with people who are looking for something in addition to typical talk therapy, whether learning more about how to regulate emotions or understanding more about their triggers that create barriers for their relationship or career goals. I also help people work through trauma responses, whether this is gradual experience overtime in a toxic connection or with wanting to process sexual trauma that is still affecting you years later.
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, recognizing the impact of past experiences while creating a safe, supportive environment for growth. I incorporate holistic practices to honor the mind-body connection, addressing not just symptoms but the underlying sources of distress. I work with people who may be using unhealthy coping skills that are no longer working such as avoidance or distractions with work or friends. Or, maybe there was a traumatic event that you thought you should "be over" but still comes up for you and you don't know how to let go of it. We can explore what emotions may be more uncomfortable to feel and explore creative ways to access them including tarot cards and mindfulness activities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe at looking at the individual as a whole, including the mind, body, and spirit (this is not to imply that everyone has spiritual goals, but that we are trusting our inner voice and having hope of something better for ourselves. I have worked through my own trauma and anxiety and have felt so much relief and peace through therapy. I believe that every individual has the potential for profound healing and personal transformation.
