About My Clients
My practice primarily focuses on Gay Men, Religious Trauma and the LGBTQIA+ Community. I understand that seeking therapy can a difficult decision, but one that can lead to significant growth and healing. It is not uncommon to experience feelings of shame, isolation, and anxiety as well as lack of acceptance from friends, family and social networks. I am here to provide a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work through any challenges you may be facing.
My Background and Approach
I provide a safe space for talking about what affects you most deeply in your love, work, and creative life. Our conversation will allow you to see a deeper understanding of how you function with others and how you create meaning with yourself. I believe that individuals have the capacity to find meaning and purpose in their lives, even in the face of adversity. My approach to counseling focuses on the unique experiences and perspectives of each individual, and emphasizes the importance of self-discovery and self-expression. My approach is to help clients process and make sense of their experiences in a way that is meaningful to them!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have an internal compass which guides us. I see my job as a counselor to help you get in contact with your own compass, I see myself as a fellow traveler. My clients find me pragmatic, compassion and like someone who really "gets it." I believe that everyone has the right to live as their authentic selves, and that this process can be a challenging one, especially in the face of societal stigma and discrimination. By working together, I aim to help clients develop a sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion, and to empower them to live their lives in a way that aligns with their values and beliefs.
