About My Clients
I work primarily with clients affected by trauma, anxiety and depression. Some of my “niche” populations have included the transition age group (I consider this to be 18-30 years old), creatives of all varieties, the neurodivergent community, and anyone interested in exploring their connection with their body through the lenses of Polyvagal Theory and Somatic Experiencing.
My Background and Approach
My approach involves exploring body-based cues and how to use that information to cultivate more emotional wellness and values-alignment in our day-to-day lives. Throughout this process, I use Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory alongside questions formed to promote self-exploration and a widening of perspective. Though I offer coping techniques and psychoeducation, I believe that you are the best authority on your life, and will defer to you as the driving influence during our sessions. My lens is always nervous-system based, trauma-informed, and feminist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At heart, I am a creative and a feminist. I'm deeply passionate about transformative justice. My work in counseling is fueled by my desire to contribute to community practices that are rooted in dignity and care for all people. I believe that all of us are intuitive beings with lifelong capacity for change. Outside of my work, I spend most of my time playing the piano, soaking in time outdoors, and reading fantasy novels.
