About My Clients
I work with adults and couples for perinatal mental health, identity exploration, and neurodiverse-affirming support in an LGBTQIA+ safe space. If you feel like you “have it all,” but you can’t shake this nagging feeling that something is missing, are overwhelmed managing your multiple roles (parent, spouse, partner, friend, co-worker), or feel like you’re struggling to navigate fertility as a queer person, get pregnant, be pregnant, or transition into parenthood, I can help.
My Background and Approach
After having my daughter and experiencing life as a parent, I felt a calling to specialize in using art therapy for perinatal mental health. I knew that supporting birthing and parenting people during pregnancy and early parenthood was important work. As a queer therapist, I understand that it can be essential to know that the therapy space is affirming. So, In addition to working with perinatal experiences, I work with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community seeking support around mental health and identity exploration. I also have specialized training in working with autistic neurodiverse couples (with one or more autistic and/or ADHD individuals) strategize how to work better together, understand each other, and build a life that supports each individual within the relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do what I do at Alexandria Art Therapy because the world doesn't talk about perinatal and maternal mental health enough in a queer-affirming space. I’m here to support you, and other folks like you, through these (often chaotic) years - to help you realize you aren't alone, what you’re feeling is common, and wellbeing is possible.
