About My Clients
I have a passion for working with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating the world with neurodivergence, or struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as life transitions or stress. In a similar way, I help couples get curious about their patterns, break painful cycles, and learn new ways of connecting. Together, we will create a brave space to explore challenges with curiosity and compassion.
My Background and Approach
I have worked as a Clinical Director and School Counselor for 6 years. My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and person-centered. I will always meet you where you are and hold space for your feelings. I utilize mindfulness so that you can tune into your feelings and have a sense of relief whenever you leave my office. I also incorporate techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and CBT when appropriate. I utilize EMDR as a healing modality upon request.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in creating a gentle, nurturing space for ALL clients. The experience of living under patriarchal, capitalist, and racist systems can cause deep wounds that transcend generations, and I am committed to helping folx access culturally competent, trustworthy, and trauma-informed health care. I specialize in trauma-informed, culturally-relevant, attachment-based approaches to therapy, specifically using EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Play Therapy. I have worked in community organizing, specifically for social justice and educational equity. I am always doing work in my own therapy and supervision to be a better ally.
