About My Clients
I specialize and am passionate in working with and advocating for young professionals, college students, and people of color (particularly those who identify as Asian American Pacific Islander). I embrace a collaborative, personalized, and practical approach that integrates cultural sensitivity, compassion, & a sense of humor in which creates an environment that harvests growth/change.
My Background and Approach
The foundation of my professional perspective is to view things from a systematic, social constructionist, and anti-oppressive perspective. My eclectic clinical approach involves utilizing: Critical Race Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Behavioral Therapy. I embrace a collaborative, personalized, and practical approach that integrates cultural sensitivity, compassion, & a sense of humor in which creates an environment that harvests growth/change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can be a tough place, but I've learned over the years that with the right perspective and right kind of help/support, we can overcome much more than we ever imagined possible, and thrive instead of just survive in life. Whether you are feeling stressed, anxious and/or experiencing lack of clarity in life; and you wish things would/could be different, but you do not how or what needs to change...that is why I am here. Together, I aim to help you become the best version of yourself. As an Asian American male, young professional, and first generation graduate-level college graduate in my family, I have experienced the complexities of navigating life transitions, cultural/racial identity, finding and embracing healthy masculinity, the acculturation process, and the stress of trying to find a balance between success AND happiness in today's complex world. Hence, I am combining my personal experiences with my professional knowledge, in order to help and support others.
