About My Clients
My goal is to create a place of understanding for you as we give care and attention to your emotions and the parts of you that may be hidden, hurt, guilty, or lost. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you. We may be a good fit if these stand out: Relationship and attachment trauma, LGBTQIA+ identity and exploration, challenging family ecosystems, estrangement from a parent or caregiver and considering low or no-contact, boundary setting, grief and loss, isolation and loneliness
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach encourages you to slow down, get curious instead of reactive or judgmental, and observe what happens when you become the subject of your own study. As your therapist, my goal is to create a place of understanding for you as we give care and attention to your emotions and the parts of you that may be hidden, hurt, guilty, or lost. I base my treatment on principles found in Mindfulness and Nonviolent Communication, though depending on your individual needs, I also incorporate elements of ACT, DBT, and relational-cultural therapeutic principles. Some of our sessions may integrate Hakomi principles, a mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy that aims to explore unconscious beliefs and behaviors that keep you stuck by getting in touch with body sensations, emotions, and memories.
