About My Clients
My areas of focus include (but are not exclusive to) addiction, co-dependency, LGBTQ+ issues, and gender identity exploration. I have a specialization in depth psychology, so I tend to work well with clients who are spiritually oriented and have interest in creative exploration.
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in a psychodynamic lens, pulling from mindfulness practices, creative arts therapies, and shadow work. In therapy, we will explore ways that early experiences and the unconscious influence current patterns. I approach therapy with curiosity and empathy, but I also believe in the power of challenge. My goal is to foster a safe and inclusive environment for clients to work through difficulties and move toward self-acceptance and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am drawn to this work because of my own recovery and my journey of self-acceptance as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I am pulled to support others navigating the nuanced challenges that commonly come with being LGBTQ+. I also have a desire to help folks struggling with substance and process addictions, as well as those dealing with the challenges that can come from loving someone who struggles with addiction.
