About My Clients
My clients are teens and young adults who are questioning their own experiences and searching for answers and healing, wondering where they "really" belong because they might not feel 100% of any community. They are exploring their identities, building confidence and independence. Many are "coming out of the fog" and better understanding traumas in their lives for the first time.
My Background and Approach
I trained at the Center for Adoption Support and Education in 2021 to specialize in working with adoptive families and adoptees in all stages. I use an attachment/psychodynamic based framework to guide my work. I am also trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe by exploring our past experiences and relationships we can find answers to better understand our own behaviors and thought processes. Our best healing happens throughout the context of a safe relationship and that is what I offer in therapy; a safe place where my client can explore their pain, hurt, and confusion in order to heal and live the most meaningful life possible! Blue Ridge Therapy Services is woman/BIPOC owned and inclusive, affirming practice. While we are a private pay practice, we partner with the Reimbursify App to help check "out of network benefits" and file initial claims for our clients.
