About My Clients
I have addressed the needs of diverse populations within residential, inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health based settings, and have experience in individual therapy, couples counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention. I have experience working with adolescents and adults suffering from severe depressive and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, stress management, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, aggression, substance use, psychosis, and life changes.
My Background and Approach
I earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology (Counseling Practice) from Roosevelt University. I am licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and in Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP). I take a supportive, empathic, non-judgmental, and collaborative therapy approach to assist individuals to develop the necessary skills to achieve their goals. I work with clients to identify and overcome barriers, build strength, and promote emotional growth. I tailor my therapy approach to best serve each client’s personal needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that in order to make progress in therapy, one must be willing to push their comfort zone. I will support you in doing this, with the goal of helping you to become the best possible version of yourself. I also believe that to be human means to be fallible, however we can find meaning and value through each and every one of our experiences.
