About My Clients
At times, life is filled with authenticity, laughter, and fun. Other times it can be demanding, draining, and leave us feeling unsure. The highs and lows of life are normal and we all feel it, but at times we need extra support and space, and that is okay! As your therapist, my main goal is to provide an open, safe and accepting place for all to navigate life. This means that I serve clients from all backgrounds and beginnings, primarily children to young adults.
My Background and Approach
I enjoy supporting children, teens, and young adults in managing the multitude of stressors and changes our world has thrown at us - especially in the last 3 years! In supporting you on your therapy journey, we will collaboratively establish goals, brainstorm new techniques and skills to use in everyday life and find what helps you become the best version of you. I approach therapy as an opportunity to utilize an eclectic approach to find what is the right fit for the client as a unique individual. It is my top priority to create an open, safe, and affirming environment for anyone to walk into. This environment often incorporates humor, play interventions, and mindfulness, along with psycho-education. At the end of the day, it is my role to be a companion on this journey in exploring what you want and need to facilitate growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My top 3 values are vulnerability, connectedness, and growth. These values are what have led me to become a therapist and what have motivated me to continue to create space for all individuals. It is my belief that no amount of training or schooling make me more of an expert on you, than you are of yourself. What I bring to the table is an additional, compassionate perspective and my own humanity. Growth and healing happen when you and I are connected and vulnerable with one another. I believe that the strength of the relationship we have plays a great role in the success we have working together. I do not believe it is my role to heal you but to support your growth in the areas you want in order to become the best version of you. I believe it my role to provide space that is open to all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual identities and religious affiliations. All are welcome in my office.
