About My Clients
Have you been through something confusing, scary, or painful that you’re trying to understand and are struggling to move past? Do you feel like the odd one out of your family, lack a sense of belonging, or are part of the LGBTQ+ community? These experiences, changes, and shifts within your life as a child, teen, or adult, might have made you feel isolated, depressed, anxious, or have caused you to engage in behaviors that may be unlike yourself.
My Background and Approach
I believe that in order to feel at ease and live authentically, we need to heal our wounds. Sometimes this can be scary and together we can unearth your full potential and help you move forward. I treat children, teens, and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, past trauma, and wanting to further explore their sexual orientation and gender identity. I want to help you feel comfortable with yourself and the life you envision living. You deserve to get the support you need. Through mindfulness, EMDR, Compassionate Inquiry, and other various techniques, we can work together to bring awareness to your mind, body, and spirit. Together, we can change thought patterns that may be holding you back from feeling joy and continue the healing process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have been through my own unique coming out process. Exploring my own sexual orientation and gender identity as a youth and young adult has helped me understand others going through similar experiences. I am also first generation Iranian American. In addition to my personal identities, I have a strong passion working with foster/adopted youth and adults to help process their childhood trauma and current situation.
