About My Clients
I specialize in working with teens and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, career issues, and self-esteem issues. I am bilingual and have experience providing counseling sessions in both English and Spanish. My therapeutic style is person-centered, strength-based, somatic, and holistic. I am warm, friendly, and authentic, and I like to use humor in my sessions.
My Background and Approach
My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is based on helping my clients explore behavioral and thinking patterns that are causing anxiety, depression, or any mental health issue. I also used Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to teach my clients practical skills for managing emotions, coping with difficult situations, and improving relationships. Lastly, I enjoy doing talk therapy and holding a safe space for my clients to feel heard and supported.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that creating a strong therapeutic relationship where we both feel safe, seen and heard is essential to getting the most out of therapy. I believe we as humans are all born with strengths and weaknesses. Our weaknesses help us to learn and grow in life. Our strengths allow us to help ourselves and others.
