About My Clients
When hope fades, or when it feels like God is nowhere to be found, each day can feel tougher than the last. I help those with deep shame reclaim their inherent worth, find healing, and discover wholeness. Our faith community should be a place of belonging — yet too often we feel shame, guilt, and hurt in these places. It can feel like God can love everyone, but not you. You are ashamed of what you are doing or have done, you stay hidden, and you fear if anyone saw the real you they’d reject you.
My Background and Approach
Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help you rid negative patterns and toxic shame to promote more positive and healthy approaches to your life, relationships, and spirituality. With nearly a decade in guiding peoples spiritual journeys, I will help you live into the wholeness of who you are. We will work to slow down, rest from the hurry of the outside world, and help you come into alignment with your values. With therapy you’ll gain a new sense of wholeness, rest, and peace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an LGBTQIA+ affirming Christian therapist, I believe that all people are deserving of love, compassion, and empathy. While church should be a place of beauty, wonder, and mystery, for many it is a place of pain, shame, and suffering. I am passionate about working with those who have been hurt by the church, especially those who identify as queer. Whether you have experienced religious trauma, were involved with purity culture, or were hurt or abused by ministers in power, I provide a safe space for you to be seen, heard, and I abide with you in your suffering. My goal is help you untangle the harmful webs of what you were taught and find a foundation of faith that is rooted in who you truly are, your values, and who God created you to be.
