About My Clients
Clients come to me to tap into their creativity, improve self esteem, and release fear/ feelings of shame in order to manage depression and anxiety. Together we work to create new behaviors and realities. I am passionate about helping people improve their relationship to self and other. Whatever you may be facing, I am here to support you in finding your strength and wisdom to overcome the circumstances that are keeping you from thriving.
My Background and Approach
In life, we often feel overwhelmed, out of control, or caught in patterns we can’t seem to escape. We may be affected by trauma, feel stuck in relationships, get caught in self defeating thought spirals or find that we are sabotaging ourselves. Many of us move around the world carrying secret struggles with negative thoughts, emotions, or urges, which disturb our day-to-day life and make waves in our relationships. Changing life circumstances-both positive (like the birth of a child) or negative (loss of a job)-can cause anxiety and strife. I address these issues by helping clients to become more aware of their thoughts and feelings, make sense of their experiences, and move forward in their lives. I perform traditional talk therapy, but often supplement that with embodiment work, narrative therapy or other creative arts modalities. I also utilize meditation, breath work and yoga.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe strongly in the mind-body connection and that for true healing to take place we need to explore not only just the thought processes that may be causing distress but also the felt sense of experience and the imprint it leaves within our body. I love helping clients to identify subconscious patterns by observing the behaviors of the mind, body, and actions.
