About My Clients
I find it most rewarding to work with clients who are willing to step into the unknown with me, co-create their path, & tune into a greater wisdom that is available in every moment. In my experience guiding this process, you benefit most when you are active in shaping our work together & developing an ever-deeper sense of trust in yourself on all levels. Our paths are never linear. We start right where we are & remain open to what is possible at each step to allow for the most profound shifts...
My Background and Approach
As a perennial student, I hold a BA in neuroscience / behavior, an MA in psych / neuroplasticity, another MA in clinical mental health counseling / transpersonal psych, & performed research at leading institutions such as NIH. I am currently pursuing a PhD in depth psych / integrative therapies & healing. As a seeker, I have studied, practiced & taught yoga / meditation all over the globe for 19 years. As a mortal human, I have struggled with trauma, mold illness & immune difficulties. Each day I face challenges that keep me experimenting with various disciplines. We would all love a quick fix, but the reality is that we will all need to become experts on ourselves in our unique ways. Over the past 8 years, shamanism has opened me to a universe that I really love living in. Our modern culture offers us a paltry glimpse into what is possible for us as humans. There's more!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The expectations, demands & limitations of our society are overwhelming, & even when we are able to keep up, we do not often feel a sense of satisfaction. We long for a deeper connection not only in our most intimate relationships, but also in relation to our friends, communities & our beautiful planet. It would seem that worrying about all that is a pipe dream for another day once we get the basics straightened out, but in fact, it is very hard to survive in the state of isolation & meaninglessness that is reinforced by media & peer pressure day in & out. Our nervous systems bear the brunt of this toll. In fact, what science finds time & again is that we actually need to delve into the support of the cosmos, to feel our great impact on the whole, & to see how very crucial our every breath is to all. We do have a purpose. We are here for a reason. Our suffering can point us towards that which we are looking to do in this precious life. Great despair indicates our caring & potential.
