About My Clients
I work with people of all genders and help with a range of issues including: anxiety, trauma, pain during sex, erectile dysfunction, and relationship issues. I welcome non-traditional families and people who live alternative lifestyles. My practice is sex-positive and I am kink/poly aware and knowledgeable and LGBTQIA* affirming. *** Currently not taking new clients. Office closed for maternity leave****
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Therapist offering psychotherapy and sex therapy. I empower clients to work through matters such as PTSD, sexual abuse, LGBTQIA* issues, sexuality/ intimacy issues, sexual dysfunctions, mood and anxiety disorders, and parent child relationships. My approach is strength-based, creative, and non-judgmental. I often focus on processing the impact of the past on current problems, finding creative solutions to client's goals, using body-based and somatic techniques, and offering clients a safe space for expression. I am trained in EMDR (working towards certification) and it is my preferred modality for treating trauma and PTSD. I am out-of-network with insurance companies and am happy to offer super bills for possible reimbursement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love this work because I help people live happily in their own skin and work through mental blocks and trauma so that they may fully enjoy life! I offer an open, creative, and positive space for all people. You should always feel comfortable being your true self when in therapy! I believe that Black Lives Matter and decolonizing my practice is an important aspect of my work.
