About My Clients
I help clients who are trying to find their way through life with a core sense of shame and perfectionism. They often have issues around authenticity, self-worth, impostor syndrome, and holding boundaries that stem from patterns learned early in life. This can be a lonely experience, resulting in feeling deeply unseen by others & themselves. I help clients who are creative, neurodivergent, people-pleasing, and spiritually insightful feel seen, heard, and validated in a trauma-informed way.
My Background and Approach
I use a blend of a variety of different therapies, primarily focused on Jungian depth psychology and psychoanalysis. The approach and additional tools utilized in my practice are ones that I have used throughout my career not just as a therapist and social worker, but also as a tarot reader, bodyworker, and yoga and meditation instructor. My background in working in interpersonal violence and relational and oppressive trauma has led me to practice as a trauma-informed practitioner. My sessions provide a safe, nonjudgmental container for the processing of deep, complex, and oftentimes difficult emotions to express while also remaining largely client-led and focused on your needs and what techniques work best for you. I utilize a non-oppressive framework in my practice and see myself as your ally and partner in connecting with your soul.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Tarot, mysticism, & spirituality have been areas of interest and study for me since my youth and were part of my first career. I seek to integrate mystical and spiritual practices into therapy with clients in a way that is mindful of the potential for harm within spiritual practices that seek to extract from historically colonized and oppressed populations. Spiritual practice is deeply personal for each one of us, and the practices I bring into my life and practice are informed by experiences with the Otherworld (Celtic) the paths of my own ancestors. I believe that every spiritual path offers valuable insight, and so tales from communities all over the world will be shared at times. I also work with a significant number of LGBT+ identified clients and am part of the community myself and am autistic and ADHD as well. The space I create in one-on-one therapy as well as group therapy is one that is safe and protected for all identities.
