About My Clients
Are you noticing heightened stress around your appearance after having a baby? Did you have a difficult pregnancy, birth, and/or postpartum? If you feel like you are drowning under the weight of all things motherhood and are shocked by the experience of motherhood, I'd love to walk with you. From healing past trauma, reconnecting with your body and learning to regulate your big feelings so you can help your kiddos, I'm here to support YOU and be a part of your motherhood community.
My Background and Approach
My career didn't take a direct approach, but all of my experiences and training come together to support the moms in my office. I use a somatic approach, focusing on the body and your nervous system to help you regulate. Whether we're discussing past trauma, conflicting feelings during pregnancy and postpartum, or how to parent these tiny humans, I want to give you something tangible to attend to your body and emotions. Not only am I a mama in the trenches, but I've had years of trainings and experience to help learn how to regulate nervous systems so we can teach our kiddos a different way to show up in the world and relate with their own body and feelings. I want to help you relate to food and your body image in a new way, if it feels strained or rocky. I can be direct, but my approach is overall gentle with direction, compassionate with permission to feel and think and be without judgement. We can have growth areas without shame and self judgement, for you and your little ones!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a believer and lover of stories and I believe everyone's story is valuable and worthy of being heard. I have grown so much by learning and unlearning my own internal biases and recognize that I always have areas to grow. And that's one beauty of being human- we can always grow! Through my own therapy, spiritual direction, and self exploration I know there is no limit to the ways that human beings can shift and expand and lift up. If you feel like you are stuck because you've always done things one way or always felt one way, there is hope. We are not in total control but we can participate in our lives in a way that positively impacts our own body and the bodies of our loved ones. This builds to positive impact in our communities as we all learn to live value aligned, support lives.
