About My Clients
I offer therapy to folks recovering from trauma, eating disorders, and disordered eating. I work collaboratively with folks to rewrite the narratives they tell themselves so they can embrace a life more aligned with who they authentically are. The clients I work with are willing to show up and creatively explore the function behind how they show up for the world.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive training and experience working with eating disorders and have held positions in various leading treatment centers. I take a holistic approach to a person's recovery from an eating disorder and do not adhere to the traditional "one-size-fits-all" mentality that is present in this field. I want individuals to find what works for them in their mental health recovery. We all have aspects of our identity - gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, neurodivergence, body size - that make our journey unique. My approach to counseling is eclectic and collaborative. I pull from various therapeutic orientations to create a treatment approach aligned with each client's needs. I use art, narrative, internal family systems, feminist, and trauma-informed interventions in my sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person has something unique to offer. I believe in honoring every person's identity. I believe in Health at Every Size (HAES), neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ voices, BIPOC representation, gender equality, women's stories, animal rights, and climate protection—any movement promoting voices of the oppressed and equality for all. I want counseling to feel inclusive and safe. I am willing to dig into all aspects of your identity.
