About My Clients
You may find yourself feeling like you just aren't good enough at the whole "adulting" thing, especially when you are trying to juggle children, work, finances, relationships, social life, and everything in between. You begin to feel as if your relationships and career might be in jeopardy because of all that you have on your plate.
My Approach to Helping
When the load gets heavy, realize that you don't have to carry it all on your own. I can help you identify, sort out, & process the things that are weighing you down. I help by utilizing the strengths within you to support you in working towards your goals. I have specialized training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Addictions, & Trauma. My approach in therapy is creative, and eclectic, using my clients personal strengths to assist in achieving their treatment goals.
My Values as a Therapist
I am aware of how intersectionality can cause differences in experiences as it applies to my client’s sex, gender, orientation, race, religion, nationality, etc. and welcome all folx. I am passionate about assisting women through their mental health needs because I myself identify as one and understand the struggle and what we face. I also specialize in helping Black women navigate through their unique experiences and heal from the past generational trauma preventing them from being the best version of themselves. As a Black Woman, I understand how the pressure to continue to produce & “show up” despite not being at 100% is even more detrimental to the mental wellbeing of us, as we already have to deal with the “Strong Black Woman” archetype assigned to us by society. This is why I am passionate of making a space for Black Women so that they know that their mental health matters too.
