About My Clients
With over 20+ years as a mental health professional, my goal is to collaborate with each client, where you are as an individual. To do this I believe an eclectic approach grounded in neurobiological/brain-based, CBT, person centered therapy, and a psychodynamic perspective allows for flexibility in meeting client’s specified goals.
My Background and Approach
My goal in practice is to work with each client, where you are as an individual. To do this I believe an integrative approach grounded in neurobiological/brain-based therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, and a psychodynamic perspective allows for flexibility in meeting client’s specified goals. Importantly, this approach embodies a collaborative method with you the client as expert on your life and me as psychologist in developing tools to find balance, change problem behaviors, gain insight, and to feel empowered. For my part, I will listen mindfully and openly while assisting you in identifying unhealthy patterns and creating healthier ways of being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Lasting healing comes from profound self-exploration, insight, a willingness to adapt, and self-acceptance. There are no guarantees or quick fixes it will take time, grit, and true participation from both of us. No amount of therapy can undo the past, but when we are successful you will hopefully be able to live within your truth, fully embracing life.
