About My Clients
I work with individuals who are seeking support with depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, marital conflicts, trauma, parenting, family conflict, phase of life issues, LGBT issues, grief and loss, and substance use. I have worked in county mental health, private agencies, and school based agencies which have serviced individuals from unique and diverse cultural backgrounds.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy based off of who each of you are. We as humans are so diverse, and I focus on ensuring that your therapy experience is unique to your needs and goals. Secondly I always provide trauma informed care, and am focused on making EMDR services more accessible to those on a tight budget. I started my mental health career working within my own community, LGBTQIA+ individuals from ages 12-85. I transitioned into county contracting work supporting individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds in South Los Angeles. I grew up in Las Vegas and started my adult life working in the entertainment industry. In my early 20’s, I was found working in professional theatre's, concert venues, and on a cruise ship designing lights and special FX. Through this career path, I learned my greatest hobby, but also realized my life work is to support people through their unique journeys.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves support regardless of what you are going through. It is through support, structure, and self care that we find the strength in ourselves to overcome the deepest struggles in life. I believe in self care and doing the things that you love most: For my self care I recently started yoga (total beginner) and enjoy reading, going to live theatre, attending concerts, hiking with my dogs, and watching new tv shows and movies. If you were to meet me in person you would learn that I am goofy, sarcastic, and that I am a little bit nerdy!
